- Welcome on the marionettes’ museum website -

We discovered Indonesian marionettes during our first visit to Asia in 1979, and we fell in love with them. And now, almost 30 years later, our passion is still as strong as before, and our marionettes more and more numerous.

So we decided, on August 14th, 2003, to create an association, the Cercle des Amis de la marionnette (marionette’s friends circle), to allow people to discover them. The museum we opened near Coupiac’s medieval castle is, nowadays, the only one dedicated to the marionettes in the South of France. Since 2005, 450 puppets are being shown in more than 400 m².
